    • Recycle clothing, paper and plastics, and compost food scraps in your garden. Plastics are categorized 1 to 7. Category 7 contains bethinol, the most dangerous of chemicals. Avoid use of any products packaged in Category 7 plastic.
    • Water bottles are among the greatest sources of pollution. Quote from the March 30th, 2008 Parade magazine Page 14. “Experts say that dangerous chemicals from industrial waste, such as PCBs, stick to any plastics in the water. The chemicals are then ingested by marine life and birds, and via the food chain by humans….There is no technology to get rid of plastic…..a
giant field of plastic trash that’s twice the size of the continental U.S., stretching from our West Coast to Japan, this man-made mess (of plastic bottles) is severely affecting the Pacific’s eco-system.”
There are many articles on the Internet about plastic water bottles.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5279230/ “Friends Don’t Let Friends Drink from Plastic.” It’s a recycle and health
      issue.

Change your light bulbs and replace them with CFLs (Compact Fluorescent light bulbs), CFLs use 75% less energy and last as much as 10 times longer than standard incandescent bulbs. Look for the new CFLs that do not contain mercury. Dispose of CFLs properly.
